Uganda Development Bank Limited Board is chaired by Dr. Samuel Sejjaaka. He is a financial consultant with over 21 years of post qualification experience in public finance management and systems design. He has extensive experience in financial management, taxation and fiscal planning, strategic planning, restructuring, quality assurance, investment advisory services and auditing of public and private sector organizations. Dr. Sejjaaka is a partner in Sejjaaka, Kaawaase & Co. Certified Public Accountants and a Deputy Principal at Makerere University Business School. He is also a Director of Stanbic Bank, Royal Homes Ltd amongst others.
Dr. Stephen Robert Isabalija is the Vice Chancellor Victoria University and Chairman Uganda Electricity Generation Company Limited (UEGCL). He is a Project Management Professional and a member of the Project Management Institute with a wealth of field experience in specialized financial and project management. He has a Doctorate of Philosophy in Public Policy (International Development and Sustainable Futures) and has been consulting for the last eight years with private and public institutions in Change Management, Project Management, Financial Management and Policy Analysis. He has worked with donor funded projects in NGO and Government institutions for the last 14 years. He has also lectured in the Faculty of Management at Makerere University Business School for the last 7 years.
Ms. Omoding is also the Director of Human Resources & Administration at the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC). Harriet holds a Master of Business Administration and brings to the Board strong administrative and people management skills. She has worked with reputable banking institutions locally and within East Africa where she has instituted capacity building plans and performance management initiatives in the institutions she has served.
Mr. Charles Victor Byaruhanga is a Technical Advisor of Budget in the Ministry of Finance, Planning & Economic Development. Mr. Byaruhanga is a development finance specialist with a background in macroeconomics, fiscal policy and public sector management. He has 25 years experience in government, international financial institutions and consulting practice. He is an ardent Public-Private Partnership/ Project Finance practioner and has facilitated capacity building programs for policy makers and professional staff in Eastern, Central & Southern Africa Finance ministries and Central Banks including West Africa, Europe and South Asia.
Mr. George W. Nyeko has been a member of the Uganda Development Bank Limited Board since 2005. He was re-appointed to the current Board bringing a wealth of experience spanning over 30 years from various departments of the Bank of Uganda (BoU) where he is currently the Board Secretary. Prior to that appointment, he was the Director Board Affairs and had earlier on worked as Deputy Director Corporate Services and Human Resources. He has more than 2 years experience in human resource management. Prior to joining BoU, he was a lecturer at Nsamizi Training Institute where he lectured personnel management and economics. Mr. Nyeko holds a Master of Arts (MA) in Organizational Leadership from the Pacific University, USA, in addition to MA in Management from Webster University. He is a member of various other boards and a member of the Commonwealth Association of Public Administration and Management (CAPAM) and its African and Uganda affiliates – AAPAM & UAPAM.
