| Trade Financing
Trade Finance is a facility that is offered to business people to faciltate their trading activities both within Uganda's boundary and across the borders. The facility is to meet import and export requirements as well as supply chain requirements within the country. UDBL provides trade finance services to the following sectors:
- Importers of goods and services.
- Exporters of goods and services.
- Other traders within Uganda.
Application procedure
Each application for trade finance facility must be accompanied by the following:
- A business plan.
- Application letter duly signed by at least two Directors of the company or according mandate.
- A certified copy of Memorandum and Association.
- A certified copy of registration certificate and any other legal document.
- Financial plan for the trading activity.
- Audited and/or most recent Management account for the period.
- Supplier/Buyer duly signed contact and an underlying Confirmed orders from buyers.
- Other documents may be required.
The sponsor of the business must contribute 30% of the total contract sum in terms of cash or property and 70% fininced by UDBL the Warehouse Reciept System.

- Letters of Credit (all types).
- Bank Guarantees (all types).
- Bills for Collection (both imports and exports).
- Tax and freight loans.
- Stock financing.
